The Lacock site is one of three providing the programmes of the BBC local radio station Wiltshire Sound.

The unusual construction relies on wooden poles rather than the usual metal masts or towers. The wire aerials are strung between the poles. The third photo shows the vertical wires leading down to the feeder point and the transmitter housed at the base of the centre pole.
